After first completing a GIS Needs Assessment and Implementation Plan for the City of Wenatchee, Erlandsen was contracted by the City to deploy an enterprise GIS using Esri’s platform.
The first task was to setup an enterprise geodatabase in SQL Server. We then migrated the City’s existing utility GIS data to the ArcGIS for Local Government data model and imported that into the enterprise geodatabase. Once the data was successfully converted, we installed ArcGIS Server and deployed map services for the each of the City’s utility GIS database. We then deployed Portal for ArcGIS. Portal was linked to the City’s Active Directory to manage users and then federated with ArcGIS Server. Online maps were then setup to use by field staff using Collector for ArcGIS. Finally, we setup web applications for each of the utilities to provide staff access to relevant GIS information.
